Customers can email your assistant
Every business on Amfion has an email address its assistant answers within about a minute — the same assistant, knowledge and booking tools as your website chat, with the same human takeover when a conversation needs a person. Nothing to install: the address is in Settings → Sharing.
How it works
- One address per business
- Your assistant answers at your-business@mail.amfionhq.com. Copy it from Settings → Sharing, put it on your website and profiles, or forward your existing inbox (hello@yourdomain.com) to it.
- The same assistant as your website chat
- Answers come from the same knowledge (services, FAQs, policies, sources), with the same trust rules and the same booking tools. Booked appointments carry the same manage links.
- Threads, not tickets
- Replies come from a per-conversation address, so a customer can just hit reply and the thread continues. Each conversation appears in your Inbox with Channel = Email.
- People step in when needed
- When the assistant flags a conversation for a person, you take over from the Inbox and your reply is emailed to the customer from the same thread — the assistant pauses until you hand back.
What it does not do yet
- Custom sending domains (mail from your own domain). Today the address is on mail.amfionhq.com; a forwarder from your domain works in the meantime.
- Attachments — images and files in incoming mail are ignored; only the text is read.
- Automated or bulk mail: mailer-daemon, no-reply and auto-generated messages are dropped, and each sender has a daily cap.
Counts like a conversation
An email thread is one conversation against your plan’s monthly allowance, exactly like a chat — a customer replying five times is still one conversation. Your Inbox shows every thread; internal notes and takeover work the same way as for chat.
